JOHN JESSE MITCHELL – age 60 of Knoxville, passed away January 7, 2017 at U.T. Medical Center. John was a devoted husband and amazing father. He was a member of North Knoxville Seventh Day Adventist Church. John loved his Bible studies with his church family. He loved his two dogs, Oscar and Zoey, was an avid fan of Cleveland and U.T. sports, he loved camping and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edward and Edna Mae Mitchell and brother, Paul Jr. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Jason and favorite daughter-in-law, Christina; brother, Joe Mitchell and sister-in-law, Danene; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra and David Gann; nieces, Becky and Autumn; nephew, Joey. Family will receive friends Thursday in Weaver’s chapel from 5:00 -7:00 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm. Pastor Ed Reid officiating.
