John Charles Pappas

John Charles Pappas, age 95, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville. John Charles was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from General Electric with 25 years of service. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and was a member of the Tennessee Bar Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Pappas; sister, Elizabeth Chapman; and brother William Pappas. John Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Dot Pappas; sister-in-law, Anna Lawson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Bill Teffeteller; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM, Rev. Laura Rasor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM for the interment.
