Joseph O Edington Jr.

A lifelong Knoxville resident, Joe was a graduate of East High and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was a successful realtor focusing on commercial real estate and the sale of land opening his own business as co-owner of a Realty Executives office at the entrance of Fox Den in Farragut.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph O. Edington, Sr. and Gertrude Bray Edington; sisters, Nancy Harris of Nashville and Evelyn Gunnels of Knoxville.

He is survived by his sons, Richard D. Edington and Timothy L. Edington of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ashley M. Edington, Kristin N. Cucurull and husband, Julian Cucurull and their children, Michael R. Edington of California and Taylor L. Edington of Knoxville; nieces, Vivian Terry and husband, Steven Terry, Sr., Teresa Gillespie and husband, Ron Gillespie of the Nashville area; grand nieces, Mariena Terry and Kimberly Sprouse and husband, Will Sprouse; grand nephew, Steven Terry, Jr. and wife, Lina Terry of the Nashville area.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 with a funeral service at 7:30pm. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville.
