Joyce Jeanne Peters

Joy was a beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was sweet and sassy, she loved fiercely and always wanted to have a good time. She enjoyed reading, talking on the phone with friends, watching TV, and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joy was a lover of the arts. In high school she was part the drama club, Glee club and loved musical theatre. She married her high school sweetheart, Darrell after graduation. Joy supported many charitable organizations such as St. Jude's Research Hospital and the ASPCA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Opal Byrnside, her husband, Darrell Peters, and daughter, Laura. She is survived by her sisters Ann and Susan; brother Jim; daughter Julie (Glenn) Gaddis, her grandchildren Jeremy (Malia) Hendricks, Bailey (Chad) Hanson, and great grandchildren Maddie and Caden Hendricks; Brenden and Avery Hanson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the ASPCA in her memory

A memorial service will be held in West Virginia in the near future.
