To my dear sister, Brenda, in memory of my beloved brother-in-law, Kimse.

As I write this my heart breaks for you and I only know a smidgen of the grief you are enduring. You are my sweet, pretty, lovable sister whom everyone adores but no one adored you more than Kimse did. And the two of you shared a love that is so rare in today's world. I always loved Kimse's gentle ways with you and really he was gentle with everyone.

 That's probably his most notable characteristic, right? His gentleness. He's been called a gentle giant, a gentle soul. I always thought of him as a big ole teddy bear. Nothing ever seemed to ruffle his feathers, or should I say fur? He endeared himself to all of us, first because of his love for you and Gatlin and Tylor and second because of his love and honor for mom and dad. Nothing ever seemed to be too much to ask. He just rolled with the flow. 

I hate that I didn't spend more time with him. I know he was a man of few words so he would have hated all my "questions". LOL! But he always made me feel welcome and even more than that, he made me feel like I was special and that it was important for me to be here. You've got to love that ability.

I'm glad I was able to be here in TN with you when he passed. I'm glad I got to see him at Easter for dad's 90th. I am very sad he is gone but I'm doing my best to concentrate on his goodness, his kindness, his gentleness. There are lots of good things to remember about Kimse. I believe God allowed Kimse to die on Kimse's terms. It seems to me he would have hated being in a hospital so for that grace given, I am thankful.

So, in honor of Kimse, let's leave this on a light note. To my dear Kimse, when I think of my house, I will always remember that to you it was " a million dollar house" but sadly it has no "bidet"!

My Tribute to Kimse

I’m Gary Clark, Brenda’s brother. I’ve known Kimse since they got married, 16 years ago. Although I haven’t spent a lot of time with him, like some of you have, I’ve come to know him by how he has treated my sister, her two sons, and the rest of our family. I’ve also got to know him by what I’ve heard others say about him over this time.

Here’s what I’ve learned: He was a gentle giant of a man. He was quiet, unassuming, but strong: strong in physical strength, and strong in character. He was someone who lived his life with integrity. He treated others with respect.

He was the answer to a prayer for my sister and our family. He was a loving, sweet husband to my sister. He was a father to Gatlin and Tylor, Brenda’s sons.

He was a unique and special person who wasn’t afraid to marry my sister with two young boys, one who is physically handicapped.

I can still see him carrying my mother, who had limitations due to a stroke, down to the pontoon boat so she could go out on the lake with us. I, and I’m sure, the rest of my family are eternally grateful to Kimse for that act of kindness and service to our family which is only one example of the kind of person he was.

As Christians, we don’t grieve without hope regardless of how sad we are right now that Kimse has left us. We have hope! We know we will see him again one day: him in his glorified body; us in our glorified body in the presence of God the Father and God the Son, Jesus Christ.

You are and will always be missed so very much by our Family . You were always so good to be around by the kind loving way You treated our Family . We had so much fun just being together just boating , playing games , shooting pool , playing Cornhole ETC . You were always the perfect match for My Daughter Brenda . We know , we will see You again some day on the other Side .  So Rest IN Peace Dear Brother . until We meet again !

Kimse was a kind gentle soul always so calm who I loved dearly. I meant him at a time of my life that I was ready to give up on living. I was a single mother struggling to raise 2 children of one which is severly handicapped with cerebral palsy. I recall asking a friend that I worked with in a joking matter to pray that I would meet a good man and her being a religious woman replied in a serious tone that she would. About a week later I meant him (prayers answered !!) not sure of his intentions at first, after a dozen roses sent to my work, and a few phone calls later I decided to go out with him again. He called asking what we could go do that my boys would enjoy and that was that. Of course I fell in love with his little white puppy. We ended up naming him Barley.
Kimse was a simple man. A blessing to our family. I remember my father calling him Paul Bunyan because after mother had a stroke he would pick her up so easily and put her on our pontoon boat so she could go with us. So many good memories to hold onto.
Our last night together we spent sitting together on our back porch enjoying a cool breeze blowing. We talked and enjoyed our evening . I kissed him goodnight not knowing it was our last.(and so thankful for that memory) He said he was going to bed and I stayed up for a little while to watch TV when I went to our bedroom I found he was gone. He went quickly and peacefully in his sleep. I feel it's so important to be kind to each other. To love one another. Don't hold onto angry feelings. Life is so short! Go home and hug your loved ones, try to live every day like it is your last day, cause you never know what tomorrow might bring. Our 16 years went by like a blink of an eye. I don't regret a single moment I would do it all over again.

Kind, loving, patient, sweet,calm, hard working, and responsible are just a small handful of words to describe Kimse. He touched the hearts of so many. I was privileged to spend a special milestone in my husband Jack’s life with Kimse  and my sister Brenda when they spent some time with us in Utah and attended the ceremony of my husband’s retirement from the military. What a honor to have Kimse pin Jack with his retirement pin at the ceremony. One of my many fond memories is of Kimse carving a pineapple into flower shapes for our fruit flower bouquet. With minute skepticism and a lot of sweat he carved each pineapple piece into the perfect flower shape and never once complained. He did this simply because I asked him to do it. This was Kimse. He always gave the very best he had to give to everything and everyone. I was fortunate to witness this over and over with the patience he showed with my sister and her two children whom he raised as his own. Kimse welcomed all of us into his life as he became a prominent figure in our family. I will miss him as will we all tremendously. 

Kimse Williams we are going to miss you so!!! But I can hear Kimse in his calm, cool, collective but deep voice, Brenda Jo, everything is going to be alright!!! The 2 days I spent with Brenda and Family and Friends, the Company and his coworkers , I saw the Love, the offerings, the food, the people in and out of the house and if I heard it once I heard it several times that Kimse was one of a kind and he was.  He was a simple man, a southern gentleman, a gentle giant. I had forgotten how Kimse and Brenda met. It was a blind date and during their date Kimse told Brenda that if he had known how pretty she was he would have dressed up more. It was a true Love Story for those two. You can see in their pictures at them looking at each other and know how much they loved each other.  His Life was too short and too sudden but he is with his maker now. We will all have just wonderful memories of Kimse that will remain forever in our hearts. We will share laughter and tears for years to come sharing our memories of Kimse.  He loved his Family, his friends, his coworkers and he was loved. Looking forward to our reunion some day Kimse Webster Williams!!!

Brenda - Debbie and I are sadden to learn of the loss of your husband. We all struggle for words to express at the loss of a loved one trying to comfort heart, mind and soul. We have you in our Prayers and thoughts. You have always been such a nice person. We truly wish you love and comfort that from knowing Jesus Christ can only give you at this time in your life.

My brother in law a very sweet man. We are all sad and we all will miss him very much. I am very blessed that he was in my life as well as putting up with me as a sister in law. I will miss him deeply. I am really having a hard time and  I know my sister is as well . I pray that God will send us peace.  I love you Kimse R.I.P until we meet again. You truly was a blessing in all our lives

We loved Kimse so much.  He was always nice and funny and welcoming etc.  Our deepest condolences to all his friends and family.
