It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Bryson announces his passing on October 28, 2024 at the age of 89 years old. He was born on December 10, 1934 to Hewey and Alice Bryson. He was a bivocational minister and retired from Rohm and Haas. He was a long-time member of Central Baptist Bearden.
Larry was a devout Christian who served the Lord in many ways, including roles as pastor, deacon and a music director. Even though he has left his life here on earth, he will have eternal life with his Lord and Savior. He was also an avid golfer and played many courses around the country.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen Oswald Bryson, and his son Robert William (Bob) Bryson. Larry and Kathleen loved to travel with the Coachman Club, spend time with the family and go to Church.
Larry will be remembered by his loving wife of 12 years, Vandella Smith Bryson. They found love and companionship at a later age and attended Central Baptist Bearden together. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Virginia and husband Max Conner; son, Steve and wife Lisa Bryson; daughters, Sylvia Watt and Susan Turner; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bryson and husband Daniel Mack, bonus daughter Denise Smith Nelson; his grandchildren, Brad Watt, Rebekah Watt and husband Justin Miller, Chelsea and husband Justin Farrington; great grandchildren, Jeighdon, Beighlee, Braxton, Noah, Amelia and Addison, his great-great grandchild Everleigh; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Roberta Cordell; as well as many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
