

Stone, Laughton (L.E.), age 91, of Knoxville, formerly of Seymour, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2012. He was retired from T.V.A. after 35 years of service and also worked for L & N Railroad. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved trap shooting and ran the Knoxville Gun Club for 30 years. L. E. won the Grand American Senior Vet Championship in 1992, and later, in 2000, was inducted into the Tennessee Trap Shooting Hall of Fame. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. L.E. was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Stone; wife, Jean Stone; several brothers and sisters; daughter, Cassie Cobleigh. He is survived by his daughter, Analee Stone Fein; grandchildren and spouses, Vanessa and Robert Delamain; David and Jennifer Murphy; Heather Murphy; Courtney and Rick Davison; great-grandchildren, Gabby and Cooper Delamain; Shane; Trent and Lindsay Murphy; Caitlynn Davison; sisters, Shirley Smith, Juanita Estep; uncle, George Tipton; and several nieces and nephews. The Stone family would like to deeply thank Dr. William Robinson, Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Facility, and Tennova Residential Hospice for taking wonderful care of our beloved family member. We appreciate you all and so did he. A service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Monsignor Francis Xavier Mankel officiating.
