Lennis Hoyle Thomas, age 95, passed away Saturday at his home.
He was inducted into the Army right out of Central high School to go into World War II. After returning home from the war, he went to the University of Tennessee where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at the Oak Ridge facility in the Y-12 Division. Lennis enjoyed being in some engineering groups where he had many friends who have preceded him in death.
During his retirement years, he raised cattle on his farm land in Loudon County.
Lennis is survived by his wife Mildred; two sons, Warren (Nancy) and Bruce (Pamela); also three sisters and one brother.
There will be a private graveside service at Berry Highland Memorial.
