Leon Alfard Cardwell

Leon A. Cardwell “Junior”, born August 2, 1941 of Mascot, Tennessee, went home to be with the Beloved Savior on July 13, 2022 after a brief illness. Junior was a Member and Trustee of Green Acres Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by Mother and Step-father, Nettie and Paro Collins; Father and Step-mother, Leon A. and Margie Cardwell, Sr.; Grandson, Derrick Dean Cardwell; brothers, Samuel Eugene Bruner, Paul Edward and William Cardwell; Paul and J.P. Collins; sister, Bonnie Hickman.

Survivors include Wife of 45 years, Linda Cardwell; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Rev. Kenneth (Melissa) Cardwell, Keith (Robin) Cardwell, Andy (Diana Bates) Cardwell, James (Linda) Beeler; Daughter, Lois Gail Cardwell; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Jim and Mary Lawson; Grandchildren, Travis, Stephen, Cheyenne, Randall, Keegan, Kiarrah, Olivia, Joshua, Abigail and Gracie; the pride of his life, his Great-grandkids, Isabella and Dylan Hunter.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Green Acres Baptist Church, (10144 Old Rutledge Pike, Mascot, TN 37806) with a 7:00 pm Church Service to follow, Rev. Tim Muncey and Rev. Ricky Hayes officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm at Roseberry Cemetery (2920 Roseberry Road, Mascot, TN 37806) on Monday, July 18, 2022 for a 1:00 pm Interment.
