Lula Henderson, age 86, formerly of Knoxville, passed away in Huntsville, Alabama November 20, 2015. She graduated with a Master’s degree from The University of Tennessee and taught elementary school in the Knoxville area for 27 years. She was a long-time member of Mountain Vista Garden Club and a flower show judge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Henderson; parents, Roy and Eula Carver; and sister, Wilda Howard. Lula is survived by her children, Larry (Cindy) Henderson and Lisa (Alan) Gibby; grandchildren, Kevin (Darla) Henderson, Laura Henderson (Chris) Whitlock, Sarah Gibby (Jonathan) Richard, Sam Gibby, and Mark Henderson; and several great-grandchildren. There will be a receiving of friends at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. An interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery.
