Mae Weaver

Mae Weaver, 96, of Powell, TN passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. She was born on November 3,1928 in Andeson County, Tennessee. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Knox County Schools after 30 years of service. She was known by all for her hardworking nature, her caring heart, her unwavering determination, and her kind and loving spirit. She selflessly dedicated herself to the well-being and happiness of those around her, creating countless cherished memories. She was an avid gardener who also enjoyed writing poems, reading books, and playing scrabble. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, James C. Weaver, her parents, Maude and Andrew Gregory, brothers, Bill, Bob, Albert, and Wayne; sisters, Edna, Bert, Joyce, Wanda, and Aileen. Survived by daughter, Cheryl (Charles) LaRue of Knoxville; sons, Harold (Carla) Weaver of New York and Edward (Maureen) Weaver of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Friday at Weaver Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7 pm. Pastor Morland officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:45 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am interment.
