Mark Douglas Helmboldt Sr, age 62, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 15, 2017. Mark was preceded in death by father, James G. Helmboldt; sister, Sherry Lynn; brother, Jerry Glenn; grandparents, James Grover and Hazel Haun Helmboldt, Sarah and D. Crumley. He is survived by his mother, Frances Helmboldt; son, Mark D. Helmboldt Jr.; daughter, Nickie McGinnis; granddaughter, Cassandra Helmboldt; grandsons, Mark Helmboldt III, and Dylan and Kylar; brothers, Dale, Kirk, and Scott Helmboldt; sister, Donna Haun; several nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Connie Seay; and numerous friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:30pm and leave in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 2:00pm graveside service with Rev. Jim Kitts officitating.
