Smith, Martha R., age 86, of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, St. Mary’s. She was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith. Survivors include children: Jim Smith, David Smith and wife Ann Wykle, Steve and wife Carolyn Smith, Sandy and husband Ken Chesney; grandchildren: Kim, Lynn, Christie, Lena, Pam, Brian, Angie, Julie, Whitney, Tim, Lora, Landon and Alicia; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday, August 11th at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. James Williams officiating. The interment will be held at 1pm on Friday, august 12th at Caledonia Cemetery.
