Mary Evelyn King, age 70, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at home with her family. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. Evelyn retired from Levi Strauss after 33 years as a Supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Imogene Clinton; husband, Charles King; son, Scott Jason King; and brother, Jerry Clinton. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Stefanie Edmands and husband, Don; grandchildren: Chloe, Canton, and Carlin Edmands; sister, Brenda Owenby; and many loving nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Meridian Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:15 AM to go in procession to Meridian Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment service.
