Mary Lou Tipton, age 88, of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was a long-time member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. She retired from the University of Tennessee Student Records Department.
She is preceded in death by father, Oliver Otis Tipton Sr.; mother, Lonnie Pearl Tipton and brother, Oliver Otis Tipton Jr.
Mary Lou is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sheba Tipton, Allen and JoAnn Tipton; many nephews, nieces; great nephews; great nieces; dear friend, Arzeala Allen. Bobby would like to thank his wife Sheba, for being more than just a sister-in-law, a special friend and caretaker to his sister, Mary Lou.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 21, 2021, 10:00am-11:00am in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, with a funeral service to follow officiated by Rev. Monty Walton. Family and friends will go in procession immediately following to Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville for an Interment Service.
