Neil D Lentz

Preceded in death by parents, Ordean, and Marjorie Lentz; beloved wife of 55 years, Ann Lentz; sister, Patricia Fry; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Lucille Grubbs; sister-in-law, Barbara Cupp and brother-in-law, Charles Grubbs, Jr.

He is survived by son, Brian D. (Susan) Lentz; grandson, Brandon Lentz; brother- in- law, Al ( Mary Ellen) Fry; sister-in-law, Vickie (Steve) Pilkay; sister-in-law, Sherrie (Bill) Denton; brothers-in-law, Jeff Grubbs, and Sam Cupp. Many special nieces and nephews.

He was Salutatorian of his high school class of 1961 in Paine, OH. Graduated with a master’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Tennessee.

Worked for the Dept. of Energy and Union Carbide in Oak Ridge and Shaw Environmental as a procurement manager until retirement. Enjoyed traveling with his family and U.T. sports. He was a life member of IEEE in Knoxville and a charter member of the East Tennessee chapter of NCMA.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Weaver Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Lynch Bethel Cemetery on Thursday at 11 am.

Family and friends will meet at cemetery at 10:45 am.
