Roger Dale Harrison, a beloved resident of Seymour, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at the age of 82. He was a cherished and selfless individual, known for his kind-hearted and humorous nature. Roger was born on January 5, 1944, and throughout his life, he was admired for being hard-working and thoughtful.
Roger attended Harrison-Chilhowee Academy and was part of the first class to graduate from Seymour High School, where he also played football as a youth. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the 101st Airborne.
Roger was married to Thelma Harrison for 43 wonderful years, and together they built a loving family. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Harrison Wells (Paul), Lisa Harrison Morgan (Ray), Donna Fox (Jeff), Deedra Lundy (Tony), and Debra Green. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Michael Weaver (Tracy), Dustin Weaver (Angela), Derika May (Steven), Brant Grosser, Kara Lundy, Christian Hatcher, Gabriel Hatcher, Patrick Hatcher, and Jesse Parish. 9 Great-grandchildren.
In addition to his immediate family, Roger is survived by his brother Dan Harrison (Carolyn), and his sisters Elizabeth Singleton (Bobby), Kathy Wheeler (Ken), and Faye Norton (Kenny (Possum)). He was preceded in death by his siblings Margaret Ellis, Freddy Harrison, Robert Harrison, G B Harrison, and Mary Ruth Helton, as well as his grandson Thad Lundy.
Roger had a passion for fishing and pig roasts, activities that brought him joy and relaxation. His final resting place will be Berry Highland South Cemetery, located at 9010 E. Simpson Road in Knoxville.
Roger Dale Harrison will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His memory will be treasured by his family and friends, who will forever remember his selfless spirit and the love he shared with those around him. Family will receive friends Sunday February 8, 2026 from 5-7 pm at Berry Highland South 9010 E. Simpson Road, Service will follow at 7:00 pm.
