Sammy "Allen" Crisp

Sammy “Allen” Crisp passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 72. Allen was born on June 8, 1953, and throughout his life, he carried a deep love for Jesus and an unwavering spirit of competition. A fierce contender at card games, he loved the challenge of a good game and the joy of beating others and reminding you often.

Allen’s heart, however, was most at home with his family. He was preceded in death by children, Jeffrey Allen, Jamie Oscar, and Charles Brent, who died in infancy; beloved wife, Sheila Swann; parents, RJ and Ruth Crisp and Mamaw Julia Crisp.

Allen leaves behind his loving daughter, Mecca Kincaid (Jeff); grandchildren, Cypress and Keller Kincaid; siblings: Larry Crisp (Cathy), Donna Vandergriff (Danny), Susan Owen, and Rhonda Hickson (Wilmer), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM for a graveside service.

Before passing, Allen said "Jesus is waiting on me and I'm ready to go home." We celebrate that he is with Jesus now.
