Sandra Marie Hudson

Sandra retired from the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse, where she devoted her career to caring for others in Labor and Delivery, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics. Nursing was more than a profession to her it was a reflection of her generous heart and lifelong commitment to helping those in need.

She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and never missed a single event for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They lovingly called her Mamaw Sandra, and some affectionately knew her as “G.” Sandra loved the beach, Cades Cove, gardening, ladybugs, and her dogs. She had a positive spirit, a giving nature, and a deep gratitude for even the smallest blessings. It truly didn’t take much to make her happy, and she would give everything she had to those she loved.

Sandra was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Carol Loveday; her mother, Emma Hutchings; her father, James Hutchings; her brothers, James Hutchings, Steve Hutchings, and Jerry Hutchings; and her son, David Loveday.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Leesa Pike (Mark Jenkins) and Carolyn Loveday; her grandchildren, Mareesa Pike DeCort (Jason) and Nick Stanifer (Amber), Loyed England; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Graham, Kaleigh Sexton, and Kalynn Pike, Memphis Stanifer, Ryleigh Jo Stanifer, Madilynn Manis; her brother, David Hutchings; her nieces, Debra Hutchings and Teresa Hutchings; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

The family will host a gathering to celebrate Sandra’s life on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Chimneys at Cades Cove.
