

Sarolyn Hayes Davis, age 72, of Knoxville, TN, peacefully passed away at her home on November 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Hayes Davis, Van Andrew Davis (All-American and University of Georgia Hall of Famer), and her brother, Andrew Davis. Sarolyn is survived by her sons, Wade (Angie) and Lyn (Tatiana) Youngblood; grandchildren, Tori, Luke, and Elena Youngblood; Aunt Ann and Uncle Fred Gunter of Augusta, GA; and cherished friends Virginia Branum, Mark Grayson, and Randy Massey.
Sarolyn spent her formative years in Douglas, GA, graduating from Coffee County High School. In 1977, she relocated to Knoxville, TN, where she earned her B.S. in Nursing with Highest Honors from the University of Tennessee. Throughout her nursing career, she dedicated herself to UT Hospital, specializing in neurology and orthopedics. Transitioning to the business realm in 1994, she assumed the role of Administrative Coordinator for Cherokee Millwright under Massey Shared Services. Her exemplary efforts propelled her to the position of Director of Development for MSS, overseeing Engineering Field Services, Springbrook Automation, Cherokee Millwright, Cherokee Metal Works, Massey Electric Knoxville, Kingsport, and Cleveland. In 2005, she was elected to the Board of Directors for Massey Properties, playing a key role in attracting notable firms like Marriott Business Services and Cirrus Aircraft to Blount County.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sarolyn was an enthusiastic cyclist, motorcyclist, and Master Scuba Diver.
In accordance with Sarolyn's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
