Shellie J. Blair

Shellie Jean McDaniel Blair age 60 of Knoxville, passed away January 20, 2019 at her home. Shellie enjoyed time with her family and especially loved cooking. She loved to shop, going to the beach, working on fixing up her home and she loved her yard and garden of many flowers. She was a loving mother and wife and will be greatly missed. She never met a stranger and had too many friends to list.

She loved to talk and never had a problem striking up a conversation with anyone. She had battled colorectal cancer a few years ago and developed stage 4 lung cancer in 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Imogene McDaniel; sister, Susan Anderson. Survived by her loving husband, Scott Blair; children, Amanda Carol Loy, Daniel Adam Wright and Jeffrey David Blair; step-daughter, Leighann Blair; grandchildren, Logan Loy and Noah Loposser; siblings, Sandy Baggett-McCandless, Sherry Jackson, Sheena Allen and Scott McDaniel. The family will receive friends 6-7 pm Thursday at Weaver’s Chapel with a celebration of life service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Walter Hill officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone that would like to plant a tree or plant in her honor this spring would be appreciated or donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She loved plants and nature and this would be a great way to remember her.
