

Stanley Wayne Estep, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2024 following a lengthy battle of chronic illness. Stan was born on September 9, 1951 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a proud part of the Fountain City Community for many years and a member of the Central High School Class of 1969, but later made the Karns Community his home. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as deacon, choir member, Awana leader, pastor’s prayer partner, and children’s choir helper. Stan was employed by Roddy Coca-Cola for 20 years. After leaving Roddy, he opened Even- Cut Lawn Service, where he built up a substantial amount of commercial and residential accounts and was dedicated to providing services to those in need. Stan also operated concessions at the University of Tennessee for many years.
Stan was best known for his giving heart, helping hands, and loving spirit. His love for the Lord was apparent to everyone who knew him.
Stan was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Diane Alred Estep and parents Jay and Georgia Estep. He is survived by his children Scott Estep, Eric Estep, and Sherri Estep Watson; daughters-in-law Beth and Jennifer Estep; son-in-law Ronny Watson; grandchildren Savannah Brock, William Watson, Claire, and Cody, Emma, John Thomas, Eloise, and Emmaline Estep, also affectionately known as Monkey Face, Sky Skum, Clarice, Big Russell, Emma Lou, Knuchhead, Wezzy, and J.T. Money.; siblings Carmen Estep Bean and Lisa Estep Paul; sister-in-law Phyllis Alred Braddock and brother-in-law John Alred; mother, Jean Estep, brothers Brian and Michael Day, and sister Sharon Day Mikkola. Stan also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved him dearly.
Memorial service will be held at Weaver Funeral Home Saturday, January 27th at 10 am with receiving of friends to follow.
