Born on September 15, 1937, in Lebanon, Suzan immigrated to the United States in 1954. She carried with her a deep resilience, a warm heart, and cherished family values that would define her remarkable life. While building a new home in America, she held her Lebanese heritage close, honoring it with pride, grace, and quiet strength.
A devoted businesswoman, Suzan embodied an entrepreneurial spirit, tireless work ethic, and keen intellect. Yet her greatest joy came from her love for her family, where she nurtured deep and enduring bonds across four generations. Above all, she was a kind, gentle soul whose soft-spoken wisdom, compassion, and loving presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will live on in countless hearts.
Suzan was a beloved mother to four children, grandmother to 11 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service was held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, on January 31, 2026, followed by a graveside service at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Assad Gebran of Arizona and Rafiq Gebran of Brazil. Suzan is survived by her sister Hollanda, four children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of extended family and friends whose lives she enriched with her presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations to The Theotokos Fund of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, a charity that continues her spirit of giving and community support.
Suzan Gebran will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the extraordinary life she lived, the profound love she gave, and the gentle kindness that touched so many. May her memory be eternal.
