I don’t believe when we go to heaven we just sit around. I believe we have a higher purpose and that is to guide those of us still on earth. Terry, I am sure, is doing that. Maybe he has guided me and I don’t know it????? I loved him like a brother and miss him just the same.

Terry was a character like no one I have ever met before.  He was always positive and cheerful and when you spoke with Terry a laugh at some point in the conversation was always a guarantee.  Terry was the Go To Guy when it came to the Makino legacy products and was always willing to get the job done.  I had the pleasure of working with Terry for 18 years and I knew that if there was a difficult issue with a machine or identifying a part Terry would take the time to listen to the issue and provide an answer. Even if it wasn’t the answer you wanted to hear.  I know it is tough right now but Terry did what Terry wanted to do and I believe Terry lived his life to the fullest but most important the way he wanted to!
The world lost a good man and he will be missed!  



I met Terry when I hired in at Makino in 1990 and We worked together for almost a year as he was my trainer. We remained very good friends over the years until he expired. If I had to describe the type of person or friend he was to me. I would say that "He would be the guy coming towards me in a time of need when everyone else is running from me." 

Terry first introduced himself to me on the road.  A fella with a flowing white pony tail and cowboy boots met me in the lobby of a hotel, and I knew I was in for an experience.  Over the years working together as both FSEs and TSSs, and eventually having the pleasure ( and occasionally the consternation) of Terry supporting me while I learned the ropes as a team leader.  He can tell a story like no one else, and when he isn't entertaining you he will gladly listen to the things you are going through and commiserate.  There have been any number of folks I have talked with in the last week that have told me of things Terry has done to help following these commiserations.  I will greatly miss this good man and good friend.

I never met got a chance to meet Terry face to face but in our line of work that sometimes comes with the territory. But I would count him as a great friend as well as an equally great co-worker. He save my butt many times out in the field over many years for sure.  

We talked about many things.  One being the way the Fireflies sync together in Tennessee in the summer.  I was hoping to make it down there and me up with him after he had retired to see this event.   I will still make it there to see them and know that I’ll ALWAYS be reminded of Terry when I see a Firefly.  

A great legacy can be left by the simplest conversation if you were the type man Terry was!! 

While understand you don’t know me and many us out here in the field with Makino. We all feel the same about him.  He was a GREAT guy and will be missed by so many you will never know!

Worked many years with Terry at Makino. We only met face to face a couple of times. Most of our work was by telephone. Terry being TSS phone support for Makino had the opportunity chatting with him many, many times over the years. He was alway very helpful and informative. 

Terry will be greatly missed by all.
