Terry L. Montgomery, age 60, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Terry was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend to many. He retired as a Sergeant with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office after 28 years of service. Terry loved spending time in the great outdoors on geocaching excursions and studying native trees and plants. Preceded in death by his father, William B. Montgomery. Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry Threet Montgomery; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Samantha Montgomery; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Holly Montgomery; mother, Mary E. Montgomery and many close friends. The family will receive friends Friday, May 5th from 5:00-7:00pm at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 6125 Lacy Rd, Knoxville, TN. A celebration of Terry’s life will begin at 7:00pm, Rev. Jim Snyder officiating.
