

Hancock, Tony Keith, age 75, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord March 8, 2011 at U.T. Hospital. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon and on The Welcome Ministry. He was a graduate of Young High School, class of 1954, and a member of the Naval Reserves from 1952-1960. He was employed for 37 years at Tennessee Mill and Mine and also worked for Industrial Belting and retired from A & W Compressor. He is survived by wife of 55 years, Betty Jackson Hancock; son, Darrell Hancock and wife, Margaret; daughter, Susan Crass and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Tim Hancock and wife, Jennifer, Ashley Lively; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lincoln Hancock; brother, Eugene Hancock and wife, Evelyn, of Johnson City; and several extended family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Berry Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Dr. David Harkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International.
