Velma Marie (Roberts) Talley

Velma Marie (Roberts)Talley -88- went to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 19, 2021. She was a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church and attended Knoxville Tabernacle of Praise for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Gene Talley. Proceeded in death by: dad and mom (Mac and Daisy) Roberts, siblings : Roy Roberts, Ken Roberts, Sammie Hensley, and infant twins. Survived by sons: Rick (Jessie) Talley, Jeff Talley, Greg (Rhonda) Talley; grandchildren: Jason (Rachel) Talley, Matthew (Lindsay) Talley, Diedra (Todd) Lane, Jana (Rob) Clevenger, Nick (Rachel) Covington; great-grandchildren: Christina (Justin), Alexis, Kasidy, Blake, Lucy, Ethan, David, Morgan, Payton, Ian, TJ, Russell, Hunter, Gunner. great-great-granddaughter Royalty Marie. Survived by her sisters and brother: June Kennedy, Norma Lebow, Vicki (Mark) Smith, Steve (Linda) Roberts; sisters-in-law Helen Roberts and Nancy Covington; several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. The family would like to Thank UT Hospice and Ashley Dunn for taking wonderful care of Velma during her final days. Special Thanks to: Frankie Richardson and many close friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22nd at McCarty- Evergreen Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm, with the Funeral to follow, Rev. Dino Bray officiating. We will meet at Asbury Cemetery on Friday, July 23rd for an 11:00am Graveside Service with Rev. George Meghabghab officiating. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
