Smith, William Alvis-70 of Knoxville, now at home with the Lord. Alvis was a member of Marbledale Baptist Church and retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Pauline Smith; son, Chris Smith and sister Joyce Thomas. Alvis is survived by son, Greg Smith; daughter Theresa Brown; sister Kathleen Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Freida Smith, Dan Smith and Ernie and Sherry Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; grandsons, Aaron and Ryan Leek and Josh Smith; great grandsons, Hunter Smith and Brandon Leek. A memorial service will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Marbledale Baptist Church at 6:30 pm with Rev. Randy Troutman officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.
