
William (Bill) Wallace Wright, age 91, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Paris, Tennessee, passed away April 28, 2016. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Paris and later, by letter of transfer, a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. A veteran of World War II, a graduate of Murray State University, Murray , Kentucky, a Life Member of Paris Elks Lodge No 816, and a Rotarian, past membership in Paris, Huntingdon and Athens, Tennessee Rotary Clubs. Bill was owner and manager of the Credit Bureau of Paris and Henry County. His interest later turned to nursing home administration and served as Administrator of the Henry County Nursing Home, during its first period of major growth. He was honored by being appointed the Governor’s Staff serving on the first board assigned to the task of Licensing Nursing Home Administrators, which was his first appointment by Governor Buford Ellington and was, again, appointed by Governor Winfield Dunn. He was elected as President of Tennessee Health Care Association, Jackson, Tennessee District for two consecutive terms. He was preceded in death by parents, Seward and Macil Wright; son, William, Jr. and wife, Frances Vaughn Wright. Survivors include wife, Betty W. Wright; daughter, Elise and John Myers; grandsons, Ryan, Matt, and Sawyer Myers. Graveside services to be held at Lynnhurst Cemetery Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00pm, Reverend James McTyre officiating.
