

Albert Cook Cooper, 90 of Kokomo, went to be with his Lord Wednesday January 23, 2019. He was born to Carlos and Alma (Kinnett) Cooper December 5, 1928 in Horseshoe Bottom, Kentucky. He married Jo Ann (Hornback) Cooper July 4, 1959 in Kokomo. She survives him.
Albert attended high school in Monticello, Kentucky, then came to Kokomo where he began working at Chrysler in 1949. While working there he obtained his GED and retired in 1980. Albert served in Korea from 1951 to 1952. Upon his retirement from Chrysler Albert mowed grass in Kokomo for 35 years on his John Deere, which was his passion.
Albert was a competitive target shooter, and enjoyed his motorcycles and go-carts. Albert enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music. He was a member of The Rock Prairie Church in Tipton for nearly 50 years.
Surviving him is his wife, Jo Ann, son Mark Cooper (Karen), and daughter Jona Hayes (Todd), grandchildren Joseph Cooper (Quynh), Sarah Kenworthy (Adam), Meagan Aaron (Aaron), Matthew Rojas (Sarah) and great grandchildren Jaxson, Brooklynn, Olivia, Russell, Gracie and Mason.
Those who have preceded Albert in death are his parents, sisters Betty Cross and Bea McCutchin and a brother Richard Cooper.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel Monday January 28, 2019 at 12pm. The family will offer friends and family Sunday afternoon, January 27 from 2pm to 6pm. Pastor Lori Melton will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented.
