Alva attended Northwestern High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1991. He went on to study at Indiana University Kokomo, and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George University. He later taught courses at Ivy Tech Community College: Kokomo Region. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Dr. Jackson enjoyed animals, most notably wolves and doberman, and loved celebrating holidays, especially Halloween.
Dr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Alicia A Jackson; children, Chase S (Aubri) Jackson and Jazmine D Jackson; grandson, Grayson Jackson; father, Alva L Jackson, Sr.; brother, Shawn D. Jackson and sister, Rayna L Jackson.
Alva was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy A Jackson.
A visitation for Alva will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, IN 46902. There will be a time for sharing memories at 1:00 PM before taking him to his final resting place, Kokomo Memorial Park, 1300 East North Street, Kokomo, IN 46901-3190.
