

Sue married her first husband, William Howard Marcum on April 16th, 1942 and he preceded her in passing on November of 1946. She then married Arthur Truitt on July 18th, 1947, and he preceded her in passing on February 5th, 1967.
Sue loved to sew and embroider. She enjoyed playing UNO and Rummy with her family. Sue was a wonderful cook, and often canned what she grew in her garden. She loved to listen to Hank Williams, and other old country music. Sue was adventurous, and traveled when possible. Sue moved to Baltimore in 1942 to assist in the war effort.
She was a member of Brookside Free Methodist Church for many years. Sue was a kind and fair person. Sue did everything with love and fairness. She loved her family very much, and visited her family in Kentucky every Memorial Day.
Sue leaves behind her children Milton (Cindy) Truitt, Doris (Bob) Neff, Rita Cook, Norma (Charlie) Johnson, Paula (Tony) Shell, Myrna (John) Lee, and Rochelle (Mike) Merrifield; former son-in-law John Fritz; sister Cora Coon; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved their Granny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in passing by her parents, her husbands William Marcum and Arthur Truitt; her daughter Nina Sue Marcum; siblings Robert, Walter, Archie, and Clarence Morrison, Endie Pitts, Alice Lemmings, Elsie Marcum, and Mary Illes.
Friends and family may call from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 21st and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Monday October 22nd at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 South Webster Street Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 PM, also at the mortuary.
