Obituary of Beckom Gilbert Campbell
Beckom "Beck" G. Campbell, 85, of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 4:53 P.M., at North Woods Village. He was born to the late John Adkins and Mella (Workman) Campbell on March 29, 1934 in Louisa, KY. He is married to Serena (Brearley) Campbell, and she survives. Beck graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the National Guard and eventually enlisted in the United States Army, where he served in Korea and Germany. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post #1152, and 1-150th Field Artillery Association. After he served in the Army, Beck was employed with General Motors, where he was a painter for 25 years, before retiring. He was a member of the UAW #292. Beck was also the owner and operator of Beck's Painting and Cleaning Service for 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Serena; three step-children, Barry Lee Roach, Leslie Gene Roach, and Lisa Elizabeth Weatherall; eight grandchildren, Kelly Wolfe, Nicholas Bunch, Denver Bunch, Madison Roach, Andrew Roach, Lauren Weatherall, Thomas Weatherall, and Stephanie Weatherall; and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Campbell Hall; and brother, Chad Campbell. The graveside service for Beck will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., at Marion National VA Cemetery in Marion, with full military rites performed by the United States Army and the VFW Post #1152 Military Rites Team.
