Obituary of Charles Schuyler Kibler
Charles Schuyler Kibler, 85, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord at his home on May 11th, 2018 at 10:20am. Charles was born to Walter and Mary (Stevens) Kibler on May 10th, 1933 in Kokomo. Charles married Evelyn Albright on October 3rd, 1953 in Kokomo, whom survives. Charles graduated from Kokomo High School, Class of 1952. After high school Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from May 1953 to May 1955. Charles worked as a machinist at Continental Steel from 1955 until his retirement in 1982. After retirement he worked in construction for a short time and in the radiation/oncology department at St. Joseph Hospital. He served the Lord faithfully as a member of Courtland Avenue Friends Church and later in life attending Fair Havens Alliance Church. He was active in youth ministry and missions, including working with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Youth for Christ. He enjoyed singing in his church choir and was the lead singer in a gospel quartet. Charles was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Kibler; Steven (Karen) Kibler, Noblesville and Jennifer (Jeff) Canady, Logansport; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gloryellen Trump, and a niece and a nephew. Services will be held at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel on Tuesday May 15th, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastor John Zwirn officiating.
