

Donald Lee Luckey Jr, 64, of West Middleton, passed away at 5:17 PM Monday September 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born July 7, 1953 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Donald Lee Luckey and Nancy (Ryker) Luckey. He was a 1971 graduate of Haworth High School. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army. He was employed with Delco Electronics, retiring in 2004 after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #292 and Family Worship Center. He was an Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers fan. He loved to fix up old bicycles and give them to the kids in the neighborhood. He enjoyed doing crosswords, going to church, reading his bible, and playing with his grandkids.
Survivors include one son Lucas Kyle Luckey of West Middleton; one daughter Davina (Benny Jr.) Hillis of West Middleton; one sister Donna “Marie” (Leroy) Pierce of Kokomo; three grandchildren Aubree Hillis, Jalen Hillis, and Brantley Hillis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Davin Luckey; one brother David Luckey; two sisters Ellen Thompson and Deloris “Dee” Luckey.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Family Worship Center, 1149 E. Center Road, Kokomo. Pastor James Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Family Worship Center or to the Rescue Mission of Kokomo. Envelopes will be available at the church.
