

January 22, 1942 Pinkie married Richard McCroskey and in 1950 moved to Kokomo. She worked at Milbank Manufacturing for more than 40 years. Pinkie was a member of Parr Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved sewing and making crafts with her grandkids, her domesticated cats, and the neighborhood feral cats. She was known by everyone to be a kind and loving woman.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pinkie is preceded in death by her siblings James Whitehead, Annetta Shaffer, Robert Whitehead, Clyde Whitehead, John Whitehead, Alma Fisher, Clara Walters, Dana Whitehead, George Whitehead and Shirley Konz; and daughter-in-law Laura McCroskey.
She is survived by sisters Mary Tatom and Betty Filoso; sons Mike (Karen) McCroskey formerly of Kokomo and Ron McCroskey of Texas; daughters-in-law Debbie McCroskey and Susan (David) Pair; grandchildren Kyle McCroskey, Jenna Crowther, Kimberly Lawson, Nicole Duncan, Wendy Galloway, Emily Sweeney, and Elizabeth Pair; great grandchildren Leah, Hannah, Mae, Matthew, Cooper, Lawson, Ella, Andrea, and Alyssa; and great-great grandchildren Luke, Beau and Molly.
Family will be receiving friends at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home Saturday, September 23 from 1:00-2:30pm with a service to follow, officiated by Pastor B.J. Siefert.
