Esther D. Ferguson

Esther Doris Ferguson, 91 of Kokomo, passed away Wednesday September 4, 2019 at Northwood's Village. She was born January 8, 1928 in Franklin, Indiana to the late George Dunn and Goldie (Roberts) Dunn. She married Roy L. Rich January 20, 1945 and he passed away April 19, 1976. She later married Dempsey Ferguson in 1977. He passed September 1994. Esther came from a family of 10 children. She was a twin to David, whom passed away in 1949. She grew up in Gnawbone and Nashville, Indiana. She was a stay at home mom until later in her life, she became an in home caregiver. Esther enjoyed this work tremendously and had lasting relationships with those she cared for. She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Kokomo and a member of Bethel Holiness Church in Columbus, Indiana, where she sang solo's, managed flowers for the alter, and calling on shut in's. Esther enjoyed flower arranging and writing limericks. Esther traveled to Belize with her church and enjoyed trips to North Carolina and Florida. She is survived by one son Larry Rich (Janet) of Ocala, FL., three daughters, Saundra Osborne of Beavercreek, OH., Jeannie (Clark) Townsend of Kokomo, and Debra Bean of Kokomo, six grandchildren Steven Rich (Jen), Connie Prince, Matthew Clark, Joshua Clark, Heather Coxon (Kevin), and Trevor Bean, six great grandchildren, Aaron and Adam Clark, Kyle and Tyler Rich, Brady Prince, Tristian Bean, and Analyssa, Lexie and Austin Coxon. Also surviving are one sister Francis Emmons (Clifford), and two brothers Mahlon Dunn and Marcus Dunn (Shirley). Services for Esther will take place Monday September 9, 2019 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Center, Indiana at 2:00pm with Pastor Bryan Line officiating. Friends and family may gather from 12pm to 2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery.
