Gary D Cunningham

Gary Dale Cunningham, 86, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on January 17, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1939 in Hayti, Missouri, the son of James Brannon and Necia May (Freeman) Cunningham. Gary retired from Chrysler as a machine operator.

He liked to listen to classical music. Riding motorcycles was a great passion of his. He always looked forward to the family reunions with his grandson Josh. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of flowers, and greatly loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Deborah L. (Mark) Ebenhart, Gary D. Cunningham, Jr., Michael C. Cunningham; grandchildren, Mark A. Cunningham, Alexis R. Boller, Briana L. Ebenhart, Michael C. Cunningham II; great-grandchildren, Abigail G. Ebenhart, Otto J. Chelednik, Jett J. Broens, Maverick W. Broens, Avery Jo Degler, Bailey and Preston Ebenhart; siblings, Elsby Cunningham, Jimmy Cunningham, Teresa Allen, Mary Waggoner, and Liz Kelly.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joshua A. Ebenhart; sisters, Shirley Clinton and Claudette Ingram; brothers, Charlie Cunningham, Johnny Cunningham, and Bobby Cunningham; daughters-in-law, Ana Cunningham and Ella Cunningham; and his best friend and most loyal companion, Pepper.

Visitation will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1:00 pm until the start of funeral services at 2:00 pm.
