

Iris (Coleman) Howe passed from this world to heaven on February 16, 2022 at Maple Park Health Center in Westfield, Indiana at the age of 92. She was born in Rainsville, IN on August 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Neal. On December 24, 1949, she married Jack D. Coleman who passed away on September 6, 1991. In 1999, she married William Howe who passed away in 2014. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 30 years.
Iris graduated high school in 1947 and attended Ball State University. Iris was a member of Parr United Methodist Church in Kokomo, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Westfield, IN at the time of her death. She loved being with her family and always made the holidays very special. She was a wonderful homemaker, her home was always warm and cozy. She was a great cook and famous for her fried chicken and candy cake for all the birthdays.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses, aides and staff at Maple Park Health Center in Westfield, IN. They were very caring and loving to Iris.
Iris is survived by her children Lynn (Max) McCauley of Kokomo, IN; Jill Overton of Carmel, IN; Dave (Kathy) Coleman of Michigan and Scott Coleman of Indianapolis. Her gradnchildren are Trisha (Dan) Doyle of Carmel; Jennifer (Ben) Knock of Westfield; Brian (Amy) McCauley of Noblesville; Kristin Coleman of Michigan and Hannah Coleman of Michigan. Her great grandchildren are Luke and Wes Overton of Minnesota; Tyler, Brayden, and Ryleigh Doyle of Carmel; Alivia and Sloane Knock of Westfield and Andrew and Nadia McCauley.
Iris was preceded in death parents, husbands, brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren Holli Coleman and Eric Overton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Bon Air Church of the Nazarene 2419 N. Locke Street, Kokomo, IN 46901. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery Kokomo, Indiana. Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Bon Air Church of the Nazarene.
