

JoAnna Kay Robinson Koon, 79 of Peru went peacefully to be with her Lord Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her immediate family. She was born in Connersville Indiana December 30, 1938 to Maurice R. Robinson and Freda M. (Barnard) Robinson.
JoAnna graduated from Milton High School and retired from Delco Electronics. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was an avid Bingo player and was known to those who know her best as the “Euchre Queen”. She was a beloved mother to all of her children, a wonderful grandmother to 19 and to several great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly. In the later months of her life, she felt blessed to have son Travis, Amy Mayhew and granddaughter Sara Langley as her primary caretakers during her journey into eternal bliss. All of her family and friends rest easy with the assurance that alast, she is now dancing in heaven to Old Time Rock and Roll.
JoAnna is survived by six of her children all of whom she made the center of her life during her 59 years as a mother. Surviving children are Billie Joe Koon, Brian Anthony Koon, Terri “Sis” Miller (Tony Sutton), Tracy Lee Koon, Ted Daniel Koon and his companion Teresa Sexton and Travis Douglas Koon (Amy), all of Kokomo.
She is preceded in death by her children’s father Bill Koon, second born son Todd Allen Koon, sister Charolotte Neal and Marlene Comb and brother Jerry Robinson.
A Celebration of Life for JoAnna will be Thursday February 15, 2018 at 2pm with dear friend and family member, Chris Snow officiating. Visiting hours will be from 11am to 2pm. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
