Joey Lynn Peed

Joey Lynn Peed, 60, of Kokomo, passed away at 6:44 AM Friday October 27, 2017 at St. Vincent-Kokomo. Born July 23, 1957 in Kokomo, he is the son of Joe Lawrence Peed and the late Annette (Paul) Peed. On October 12, 2007 he married Debra Kay Clifton, and she survives. Joey proudly served his country as a United States Marine for over 4 years, where he earned a Medal of Good Conduct. He was a machinist for 35 years, most recently with Coan Engineering for the last five years. He enjoyed fishing, reading, riding his Harley Davidson, and collecting old vinyl records.

He is survived by his wife Debra Kay Peed of Kokomo; his father Joe Lawrence Peed of North Carolina; two sons Michael Surack of Kokomo, Jordan (Stephanie) Lee of Noblesville; one daughter Kylie (Nick Spencer, fiancé) Lee of Kokomo; three brothers Scotty Lawrence of North Carolina, Chris Swartz of Lafayette, and Ronald Schwartz; two sisters April Brough of Greentown and Laura Hardee of North Carolina. There are also many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 3, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo with full military rites will be performed by the United States Marines and the VFW #1152 Military Rites Team. Pastor Jerry Ausbrook will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM Friday.
