John "Pete" Wesley Collins

John Wesley "Pete" Collins, 88 of Kokomo, passed away on August 20, 2019 at Jefferson Manor. Mr. Collins was born on August 23, 1930 in Kokomo to Clenia and Gladys Collins, and he was a lifelong resident of Kokomo. From 1948 to 1952, Mr. Collins served his country with the United States Army, with service in the Korean War. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge and American Legion. Mr. Collins retired from Chrysler after 40 years of service n Machine Repair.
Mr. Collins is survived by his children: Randy Collins, Beverly Sabol, Lorane Ellis and Danny Williams; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Joan Collins; brother, Clenia Collins, Jr. and sisters: Janice, Geneva and Effie.
Funeral services for Mr. Collins will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 28th at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Rd. Entombment with military honors will be take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
