Judith Diane was born in Mexico, Indiana to Francis and Ellen (Hoagland) Kaufman on November 15, 1939. She is the eldest sibling of Jim, Janis and Chris. Judi graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1976 and later attended Indiana University. Judi worked for St. Joseph Hospital, Dr. Lee and Howard Community Hospital. She was most proud of the work she did in obstetrical bereavement counseling. Judi enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing and quilting. She enjoyed long drives and reminiscing about days spent long ago with her grandparents, aunts and cousins. She enjoyed being a mother to her small children and a grandmother to her small grandchildren. She has ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Great-grandsons Jack and Wyatt were both born after her cancer diagnosis and we honor them for giving our mother the determination to fight the good fight and live to meet them. They are family angels.
