Julian Clark

Julian G. Clark, Jr., 84, Kokomo, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at Maple Park Village in Westfield. He was born March 27, 1926, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Julian and Maria (Guevara) Clark, Sr. He married Irene Velasquez in 1945, and she preceded him in death on March 25, 2009.

He had worked at Milbank as a machine operator in Difinace, Ohio and Kokomo. He was involved in community work in Kokomo and also did volunteer work with Mayor Henry Cisneros of San Antonio, Texas. He also loved to fish and do bodywork on vehicles.

Survivors include his children, Adelmira A. Salinas and her husband Robert Sr. of Kokomo, Oralia Martinez and her husband Rogelio of Kokomo, Irene C. Martin and her husband Rogelio of Westfield, George V. Clark of Indianapolis, Sylvia (Clark) Smith and her husband Jeffrey Robert of Kokomo, and Isabel C. Wagers and her husband Lonzo of Kokomo; grandchildren, Robert Salinas Jr., Daniel Salinas, Debbie Ryan, Jessica Jill Mitchell, Marla Lipinski, Mitzi Ochoa, Meliza Chandler, Monica Brooks, Rogelio R. Martin Jr., Jose Luis Martin, Shaun McLay, Allissa Clark, Britainnica Duncan, Gabriel Clark, Nathan A. Smith, Michael Ryan Rich, Samantha M. Rich, Stephanie Garcia, Alex C. Garcia, Andrew C. Garcia, Christina M. Garcia, Carlos L. Garcie, Jeanette Cantu, Juan Clark, Jason Clark, Jamie Clark, and Joel Clark; daughter-in-law, Esperanza Clark of Corpus Christi, Texas; 50 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Irene Clark, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Julian V. Clark III; daughter, Maria Clark; grandson, Julian V. Clark IV; granddaughter, Joyce Clark; grandson, George Clark Jr.; and grandson, John E. Garcia Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
