

Kirby Lowell Edmonds, 80, Kokomo, Indiana passed away on August 6, 2022 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on February 21, 1942 in Frankfort, IN the son of Hubert Leon and Arlie Wanda (Cameron) Edmonds. He married Brenda Joyce (Moore) Edmonds who survives.
Kirby proudly served his country for 4 years active duty in the Air Force, working as a dental assistant and 2 years in the Reserves. He retired from Delco Electronics and Logansport State Hospital as a journeyman electrician. He was also part of the Master's Quartet that traveled through various states singing gospel music with his wife. He sang bass and attended Fairview Baptist Church at that time. He enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting, Hoosier basketball, Chicago Cubs baseball, Colt's and I.U. Football, but most of all attending all of his grandchildren's sporting events. He never missed a game. He raised 3 generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with his wife of 62 years, Brenda. He also poured his life into his nieces, nephews, and honorary grandchildren.
He was a proud member of the Foursquare Gospel Church (Grace Community) in Kokomo, Indiana where he taught Sunday School and sang on the worship team for several years. Most recently he attended Chester Center Christian Church, singing on the worship team while his wife played the piano, helping get the church started. Kirby loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart.
Kirby survived by his loving wife, Brenda; son, Scotty (Nancy) Lowell Edmonds of Frankfort, IN; honorary daughter, Karen (Mike) Edmonds; grandchildren, Shannon (The Late, Jerry) Dagostino of Kokomo, IN, Jennifer Lozano of Arcadia, IN, Crystal (Bryant) Ridenour of Rochester, IN, Timothy (Chessany) Edmonds of Lebanon, IN; nieces and nephews, Kelly Edmonds, Wanda Conley, Julie Eads, Stacy Schwiebert, Doug Edmonds, Shawn Edmonds; honorary grandchildren, Michael Unger, Nicole Copeland; great-grandchildren, Cloe Ballard, Tanner Vance, Kiarra Ballard, Jayden Dagastino, Daiven Lozano, Kyler Ridenour, Kylie Edmonds, Brooklyn Ridenour, Maxwell Edmonds; great-great-grandchildren, Asher Grieger and Bexley Grieger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Leon Edmonds; brother, Danny Leon Edmonds.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Kokomo, IN. Visitation will be 11:00 am - 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the funeral home. Share a memory with the family at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
