

Linda Kay Ellis, 74, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born to Marion and Fern Miller on February 8, 1943 in Kokomo. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1961, where she was a cheerleader for the Kokomo Wildkats. Linda celebrated 43 years of marriage with her husband, Richard Ellis, on Wednesday July 26, and he survives her. She retired from Delco after 32 years.
Linda enjoyed gambling with her friends at the casinos. She loved to travel with her family in the Western United States, especially Yellowstone and the Redwoods. She took care of her rosebushes and watched hummingbirds in her yard. Linda adored her grandkids and great-grandkids, her chow dogs, and her cat.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Ellis; daughters Michelle Works and Charla Ellis; brother Roger Miller; grandchildren Joshua Works, Kylie (Paul) Colleir, Cherie (AJ) Broad; great-grandchildren Dylan Broad and Rylie Collier; several nephews and one niece.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 3:00PM, Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, with a service to follow at 3:00PM. Pastor David Osborne will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery.
