

But the better question is, how did she live.
She lived very well.
She was a kind and very generous person.
She never met a stranger.
She loved to talk - always caring about the other person.
Bingo was her passion.
Her church was her salvation.
But her family was her life.
Margaret M. Wheeler, 89, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at her home. She was born November 7, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York, to Salvatore and Gactanella (Venezrano) Lemmo. She married Floyd W. Wheeler, and he preceded her in death.
She had worked at Indiana University as a secretary, as a home health aide, and as a claims processor at Area 5 Agency on Aging. She enjoyed playing bingo at Isaac Walton and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church all of her married life.
She is survived by one son, William (Sally) Wheeler, Florida; three daughters, Charlene Bright, Kokomo, Dian (Terry) Bechtold, Frankfort, and Ruth (Kent) Hewitt, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, Stephanie Bright, Brian Bright, Marcy Wheeler, Angie Wheeler, Joan Hubler, Nathan Bechtold, LaShay Wheeler, Chivon Wheeler, Bradley Wheeler, Father Anthony Hewitt, Jenifer Hewitt, Heather Hull, and Katrina Hewitt; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Barry R. Wheeler, and Ronald Wheeler; and a special sister, Ann Harshman.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rev. Father Ted Dudzinski officiating. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
