

Mason was born on August 8, 2006 in Kokomo, the son of Nicholas Hopkins and Brooke (Mulkey) Hopkins. He was a first grade student at Western Primary School, and attended Lil’ Munchkins Day Care in Kokomo. Mason played soccer for 3 years through the YMCA, and soccer was his favorite sport. He loved motorcycles and was an honorary member of the Krazy Horse Krew. Mason loved to sing and dance and always listened to music. He could light up a room with his smile and laughter. Mason was a charmer of all girls, young and old, as they were all referred to as “princess”. Mason’s strength, bravery and charm will always be remembered.
Mason is survived by his mother, Brooke Hopkins of Russiaville; father, Nicholas Hopkins of Frankfort; half-brother, Taylor Hopkins of Frankfort; half-sister, Victoria Hopkins of Frankfort; grandparents, Mariesa Skogland and Dean Kelley of Kokomo, Ken and Lora Mulkey of Kokomo, and Steven and Sandra Hopkins of Frankfort; great-grandparents, Bob and Rhoda Roskovensky; aunts and uncles, Justin and Breanne Gingerich of Chicago, Christopher and Heather Kerby of Kokomo, Catherine Hopkins of Frankfort, and Nathan Mulkey of Kokomo; and great-aunt, Jennifer (Jay) Neff.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cure Search Children’s Cancer Walk through the funeral home.
