Obituary of Pamela Sue Moore
Pamela Sue Moore, 66, of Kokomo, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2018. She was born in Kokomo on June 25, 1951 to Ray Edward and Lenora G. (Rosier) Kessler. Pam lived her life in Kokomo, working for and retiring from GM, then moving on to other part time positions to keep busy, among them was at Lexi’s Drink Barn and Low Bob’s. Pam was everyone’s Mamaw. She welcomed everyone with open arms. She loved everyone she knew and treated them all as her own. She loved her animals, especially her cats. She always had a sweet tea with her, a cigarette in her hand, and a sweet tooth for chocolate. Every Christmas she would make chocolate fudge. Pam was very blunt and usually had no filter, which is what everyone loved about her, especially at her job a Lexi’s. She loved her music too! She went to so many concerts over the years that it is hard to list them all. Her concert t-shirt collection is huge! There are so many people that have amazing memories at concerts with her. She also loved her television shows. She was a long-time fan of the Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful, following those stories for more than 20 years. She also loved all the sitcom reruns on TV Land and crime stories on Investigation Discovery. In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Moore; brothers, Jimmy and Dick Bennett and Elliot Wood. Pam is survived by brother Edgar (Shirley) Wood; sister Jan (Bob) Kessler Knight; sons Brad Burthay and Jason (Amy) Moore; daughter, Candace Dossett; grandchildren, Donita Burthay, Zach Scruggs, Kain and Chassidy Burthay, Donald Moore, Kamy, Kaylee, Trever, and Trey Watson; great grandchildren, Corbin Burthay, Austin McAmis, Sylis Guyer, and Lilly and Levi Cox; and many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends Monday, May 21 from 10am – 2pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN. Service will follow at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pals for Paws, Inc., 268 East Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 or online at http://palsforpawsinc.com/donations.
