

She was born on October 27, 1930, in Woodland, Utah, the daughter of Hazel (Tonander) Gines and Parley Gines. She was the fifth of eight children. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1952 and later pursued a career in teaching. She taught school for 12 years in Jerome, Idaho and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Pauline married Richard Winston Forbes on June 7, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah temple. She and Richard are the beloved parents of three daughters, Allison (Gordon) Larson, Carolyn (Stanford) Owens, and Annette (Craig) Sorensen. She is survived by her three daughters, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, and seven siblings.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She took great joy in her service and activity in the Kokomo ward, serving alongside its members for over 58 years. She cherished her many friends in the church and community, and her family is grateful for the love and support they gave her throughout her life.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 332 W. County Road 300 S. in Kokomo. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service, starting at 9:30am. Burial will be held at a later date at the Woodland Cemetery in Woodland, Utah, where she will be buried alongside her husband.
